La mia storia con Patti Smith è datata. Mi approcciai a lei per semplice curiosità, ero in continua ricerca di me stesso e cercavo anche musica “nuova”. La sua indole rivoluzionaria e il suo primo disco fecero breccia nel mio cuore. Nel 2007 mentre mi trovavo a New York, persi il suo concerto, non me lo sono mai perdonato e così quando ho scoperto che vederla live nella piazza del Duomo a Prato costava solo 14€ mi sono deciso a cogliere l’occasione. Questa volta.

Storgiamo il naso.
Saltelliamo e ci lasciamo trascinare dalle note coinvolgenti dei grandi classici e dalla sua energia che spiazza con quell’irresistibile fascino androgino ancora intatto e ben conservato sotto la sua pelle indurita da una vita fortunata e sfortunata.
Le sue parole si mescolano ai suoni avvolgenti e quel tentativo comunicativo arriva diretto al cuore e alla mente, ti sembra di fare un salto indietro nel tempo. Un’epoca che non abbiamo vissuto. Sembra poco, ma finalmente ho assisto al concerto memorabile. Come dico sempre io, questa è “storia della musica”.
